Mac recently released its first update to iOS 6.0 platform for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. This included some very important updates for the business environment. Please review the list below to find fixes for issues you may be experiencing:

  • Fixes a bug that prevents iPhone 5 from installing software updates over wireless connections
  • Fixes a bug where horizontal lines may be displayed across the keyboard
  • Fixes an issue that could cause camera flash to not go off
  • Improves reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) when connected to encrypted WPA2 Wi-Fi networks
  • Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances
  • Consolidated the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
  • Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
  • Fixes a bug affecting Exchange meetings

However, this doesn’t solve every issue. Customers are still reporting issues when trying to connect to a WiFi network. If you are still having issues connecting to a wireless network please try the following and all your options are greyed out please try the following steps:

  1. Verify that Airplane Mode is off.
  2. Restart your iOS device
  3. Update your iOS device
  4. Reset Network Settings, by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  5. Restore your iOS device in iTunes.
