Microsoft recently pushed the Windows 10 Fall Update and AZBS is happy to report that with this update, we can now recommend Windows 10 in the workplace (in most cases).

This major update fixed a lot of bugs caused by peripherals, search, etc. It also brought refinements that didn’t make the original release back in July. In short, the Windows 10 Fall Update was Microsoft’s way of saying, “Here is the Windows 10 we’ve wanted you to have all along, but didn’t get to until now.”

Windows 10 has a built-in “roll back” feature which allows workstations to roll back to their previous Windows OS (e.g. Windows 7 or 8.1) if there is an issue. We have tested this feature with a lot of success. Windows 10 has a lot of new design language, colors and user interface tweaks. These improvements may or may not be enjoyed by everyone, which is why Microsoft allows individual workstations the ability to revert back.

One last note: Although we want people to enjoy the benefits of using Windows 10, there are still a few obstacles that can postpone the upgrade process. Windows 10 is still not fully compatible with legacy hardware, peripherals or software. If your network or computer environment utilizes any of these older products, we recommend holding off on Windows 10. The optimal way to run Windows is to purchase hardware with Windows 10 pre-installed.
